Two large, pottery bowls with colorful birds and flowers. Each bowl has a Homer Laughlin hallmark and Second Selection beneath the hallmark. There are two birds on each bowl, one larger than the other. The bowls are similar, but not exactly alike. One bowl has a green strip on the rim. The other bowl has a gold strip. The bowls are off white or egg shell in color.

These pieces belonged to a great aunt. They've been stored for years bubble wrapped in boxes. There are no chips or cracks.

This collection was given to me by my former Mother-In-Law. She bought one piece at a time at the Smithsonian Institute in Washington, DC around 50 years ago. These pieces were in excellent condition until around 14 years ago. We had them stored in our basement which we didn't know was pretty humid. When I brought them upstairs to show them to someone, we found out that two of the pieces had "broken" into large pieces. I glued them back together and the breaks are almost illegable from the outside, however, when you look inside you can easily see the cracks. I would love to have an approximate dollar value on this set so that I can get it insured for the appropriate amount. I would also like to know if there are any other pieces, or how to look it up on the internet to possibly replace my broken pieces.
