Lake Cottage makeover in process, After 8 years with a soft green i decided i wanted light blue. I have a lot of dark furniture and dark wood floors, so the blue is perfect. Now i am stuck with not knowing what to do with the brick fireplace. I want to paint it white but i feel guilty, it looks like the previous owner took paint off. Plus its brick which is rare the house is almost 50 years old. What do you think, paint it white or same blue as the walls or leave as is?, Living Rooms

Rug Just Right or Too Teeny-Bopper?, I'm trying to redesign our guest bedroom to be a little more fun and a little more unique. We have the same modern sophisticated style throughout our entire house....soft blues, browns, green, tans, etc. I wanted something different, so I went with the peacock (with purple) as inspiration. I want to know if you think this Overstock peacock rug is too "teen bopper" for a sophisticated guest bedroom....and whether you think it looks good with the rest of the décor I have already put in the room. Sunny Coastal Sunroom, We just added a sun room. We are going for a coastal theme. The space is about 14x 18 with a cathedral ceiling I absolutely love it! However, there are two things that my husband and I have been at odds. One is the window treatment or the lack there of. He wants blinds and I like the openness. The other dilemma is the doorway leading into our small guess room with twin beds on each side. It was a double window but we lost it to build the room. Would look to hear your ideas , Other Spaces
