Need help making a warm, cozy living room!, Please help this decorating-challenged girl: can these two pieces of furniture get along? I love the sofa and have a matching chair/ottoman (seems more like a loveseat). Going for warm & cozy. Could really use suggestions for a rug that would hide the funky floor and work with these two., Living Rooms
Vacation Home, Living space of our ski condo. Mountain contemporary. Most of the furnishings are from Room and Board., Living Rooms
Flash of Brilliance, On a cold dreary winter day this flock of redwings flew up against a gray winter sky. I had to make a quilt showing that bright flash of brilliant red against all the icey grey weather. The birds are made from my grandmother's dress...saved for 34 yrs after her passing. The birds represent my Mom's grandchildren. Four corners are for Me and my siblings. The black companion blocks are for the companions of two of us. The other two are single thus no companion block. , Nature
Tombling snails, tumbling blocks and snails trials very bright colors, Friendship
Our master bedroom, I remade a very bland very old-fashioned very CLUTTERED master bedroom into a very zen and relaxing retreat. There's a blank canvas on the wall that I have yet to paint but will probably do something like an Asian inspired tree branch w/ some sort of red blossoms on it. I actually redid this room as a surprise for my husband when he came home from Iraq on leave. I wanted it to feel like he was on vacation. I achieved my goal! =), Bedrooms
outdoor sanctuary 2, This is seating area of our ppond patio. We did all the work ourselves. It's still a work in progress. All the items in the photos with the exception of the lighting and chairpads are either hand me downs or junk store finds. We are on a very tight budget. , Patios & Decks
