Rico's Bargello Heart, A bargello heart done with strip quilting and graphs. This a class I took before the author of the book was published. She is an excellent teacher and I highly recommend her book. I made this quilt top many years before meeting my beloved Rico when I showed it to him (realizing his favorite color is green and mine is purple) He exclaimed "That's my quilt!" Like he had been looking for it! He inspired me to finish it and I gave it to him for Valentine's Day 2004., Friendship
Mom's 70th Liberty, My mom had a pile of fabric she thought she didn't want anymore and my sister and I said we'd take it but she had to cut it up in 2.5" and 3.5" strips for us. Well she actually did it! Then we used it to make her a New York Beauty patterned quilt that she had the pattern for and has wanted to get to eventually. We presented it to her for her 70th birthday recently and she was surprised the fabric she thought she didn't want anymore could be so lovely., Special Occasions
Great Now Mom's Cross-Eyed!, This little optical illusion wall quilt was designed for my son's first "I'm on my own and too cool for a patchwork quilt" apartment. Everything in his new apartment had to be "cutting edge" and black and white. He always has loved optical illusions so I designed this quilt. By the time I finished quilting and paper piecing this quilt I could barely un-cross my eyes! , Special Occasions
