Almost Finished Kitchen, My kitchen is almost finally finished. A few more things (e.g. backsplash) and I'm done. , Kitchens
teeny Powder room, This teeny space felt so oppressive. My husband ripped out the ceiling the floor the old toilet and the over-scaled sink. We also ditched the light fixture and mirror. The whole bathroom centers around a batik print by Janet Searfoss of a heron., Bathrooms
zinnia room, This is our master bed room. It is in an older house (1971) so it lacks the "Super-sized" master feel. I wanted to create a little sanctuary in a kid friendly house. A little peace in all the chaos. There are still a few kinks I need to work out. Eventually the sad grey carpet will go. I am still looking for art-work that I can feel happy about waking up to every morning. I want to keep it clutter free., Bedrooms
My Sophomore Dorm Room - 2006/07, This is a tiny single (aka I had no roommate) at a Chicago college. I did what I could considering the rules about no painting no changing window treatments no candles no tapestries on the walls etc. , Dorm Rooms
Flowers and lady bugs, The joys of having a girl. We painted my daughters' room pink and purple. I got some wall stickers to put lady bugs on the wall and then used a paint pen for their trails. I drew flower and painted them for a "girlie" touch, Girls' Rooms
Painted bathroom floor, When we added a bathroom onto master bedroom we were on a budget so we used the sub floor as a finished floor until we could afford to replace it with something more permanent. It was sanded patched painted and lacquered three times. It's lasted for eight years now. Any suggestions on what should replace it?, Bathrooms
