"Moroccan-Italian Fusion" Kitchen

I like the red in the room, it works really well, the yellow is ok and it does work with the room, but the blue just doesnt go.

Would have preferred more contrast between the cabinetry and the floor ... with two mid-tone woods and dark countertops, you wound up shrinking the space. Wall colors, window valance, bar graphic, and accessories, disasters all around.

unfortunately, this room looks like what most "BEFORES" look like on design shows...and not the after. HATE the accessories (so cheesy and literal, except for the Buddha which had no place being there) - Jason should be eliminated on these choices alone. What a sorry excuse for a designed space. I really wonder if the clients truly loved the end results. If i'd seen it, i would not be happy.

I was really disappointed that Jason could not install a microwave hood!!! And then just give up on it. Thankfully Amy had the insight to choose Antonio, If it wasn't for him the kitchen would of never got done. Torie did an awesome job on the back splash. I didn't like the wall colors, valance or some of the accessories. Too cluttered. But overall it was a good job.

Yuck! Busy and discordant. At least it was completed, and the accessories and paint can be reworked....would not like to have come home to this.

I thought the bold colors were great! I did not like the valance over the window nor all the crap on the sill. One nice plant would have sufficed. I think the team did a great job here given the time constraints. They chose cabinets, counter tops and flooring that did the room justice. I think this team worked very well together.

What the design team apparently didn't get to tell the judges was that the owners ASKED for an Italian/Moroccan theme -- which by definition required lots of color and accesories !! Duh !! When you are designing you cater to what the client wants, not to what YOU want to give them. The team gave the owners what they asked for and they loved it. THAT is a successful project whether the judges like the design or not. Get with it judges --- understand what you are judging.........client satisfaction !!!!!!
