Torie's Room, Torie had a specific vision for her space: a trendy teen hangout in vibrant colors. The room's focal point is a scrollwork art piece made from napkins and trash bags. She also covered furniture with trash bags (to simulate lacquer) and fashioned a zebra-print rug out of charcoal and cereal. The room was one of the judge's favorites. , Episode 3 Design
Tashica's Room, Tashica was tempted by the green apple and inspired to create her own Garden of Eden. She quickly decided to install a 3-D element on the back wall – a device that proved problematic. She was thrilled to complete the look and pleased with her design. Unfortunately, it was something the judges had seen before. , Episode 3 Design
Nathan's Room, For the second time, Nathan conceptualized an atypical yet well-received wall treatment that became a focal point in his room. He started with black walls and then dripped milk from the ceiling to the floor to create an ethereal stringed curtain effect. The walls weren't the only wow factor in this room, however: a graffiti-inspired sofa and an orange-slice chandelier shone a bright light on the youngest designer in the competition. , Episode 3 Design
Lonni's Room, The White Room Challenge was definitely that for Lonni: a challenge. Her big design idea – creating a clear-plastic-cup wall – did not materialize after hours of troubleshooting. That meant she had to scramble to determine a plan B. With some last-minute assistance from Antonio and Torie, Lonni was able to pull herself and her room together despite the pressure. , Episode 3 Design
Jen's Room, Jen was going for "organic pop art with a Japanese twist" and wanted her white room to be eco-friendly. She zeroed in on Asian food packaging featuring bold colors and graphics and used them to cover side tables. She also covered furniture with newspaper, deconstructed teddy bears and containers of celery. Bottles of chocolate milk, squash-and-mushroom art and olive-oil cans also made an appearance. , Episode 3 Design
Jason's Room, Jason was confident that he had designed a winning white room. Using a pale-yellow-and-brown color scheme, he described his room as simple, clean, bright and cheerful. Though he threw in some dog food and crackers, the design was less than tasty. , Episode 3 Design
