Using fence pickets blown down after multiple hurricanes hit south Florida, I created a recycle winter garden decoration that my daughter's scout troop could get inspiration from for their own unique creations! We had a blast re-purposing and reusing odd-n-ends of wire, nails, screws, fabric, old socks, left over paints and anything else that could be nailed or stapled onto the wooden picket. The girls learned first hand how easy and fun it is to recycle seemingly useless junk into something cute, decorative, and happy!

A fun easy way to help homeless cats in your local animal shelter. Make catnip toys by stuffing catnip and polyester fiberfill in the toe of a sock and tying a knot at the ankle. Simple but a GREAT catnip toy!You can visit your local shelter to give the toys to the cats. A fluffy Happy Sock is like a teddy bear for a lonely homeless kitty. You'll see that cats have their own way of saying "THANK YOU!"For a FREE info kit (Word attachment) email email@example.com .

I handpainted these wooden squares with acrylics and finished them off with a pin on the back and polyurethane. In some cases I added swarovski crystals for a little sparkle.
