When my hubby brought me a discarded iron pot from his parent’s home, I had no idea what to do with it. I tried converting it into a planter but that didn’t work (no drainage holes. Then it occurred to me that a new ‘cocktail table’ was needed in the patio’s sitting area. I decided to use the iron pot as the base with something unusual on top. Couldn’t find anything ready made that would withstand the elements until I realized a mosaic tabletop would be the perfect answer. The inspiration came from the glazed ceramic coasters we brought back from Greece ions ago but had never seen the light of day. It took me a while to finish it but in the end it was well worth it. I’m tickled pink with the results.
