These clips can be worn in the hair or on a shawl or sweater. The sticks can be worn alone in the hair as well! I use Sculpey or Fimo clay and work with all sorts of finds including glass and metal beads. I also finish most pieces with PearlEx powders. I cut sheet metal into arched bases to achieve the curve of the base of the clip. Heavy wire is used in the stick for stability. No two pieces are alike!

This was made for a friend of mine who was a member of a playgroup I was in for my daughter. My friends mother died unexpectedly and she was gone for 3 weeks to go to the funeral. I taught the other members of the group how to crochet a simple granny square. Each member chose a yarn color that they felt fit their personality and made 10 squares each and I assembled it. We presented it to her with a mini scrapbook with each page signed by us and why we used that color.
