Painted Bed Tray, I made this bed tray as a Mother's Day gift so my Mom could comfortably enjoy a snack in her Victorian-inspired bedroom. It was fairly simple. First I gold-leafed an old oval frame and 4 cabriole chair legs. Then I cut a piece of luan to fit inside the frame. I painted the wood insert burgundy and stenciled on a gold detail. Finally I attached the wood insert and chair legs with Liquid Nails and a few well placed panel nails. And voila -- a new bed tray for my Mom! She was thrilled! , Gift Ideas Project
