An upside down flower pot painted to look kind of like blue spatterware glued to the bottom of a fishbowl and with a wooden drawer knob glued to the drainage tray for a lid. It was sealed with a clear glaze before gluing to the jar.

During the Holidays, I love gifts that either make my life easier or are a fun activity for my family. Today’s Make it Do gift idea does both.
Most kids love to leave a plate of cookies for Santa. But having time to bake on Christmas Eve can be a challenge. This gift makes it easy to throw together a batch of cookies in a hurry.
“Cookies for Santa” makes a great gift for friends or teachers as well. For anyone who is interested I posted the recipe on my blog here: http://makeitdo.wordpress.com/2009/11/05/cookies-in-a-jar-for-santa/
