You will need embroidery thread, an embroidery needle, an embroidery hoop (the plastic work well) and some material to embroider on. I embroidery a lot of denim shirts and pants. You can go to the thrift store and get an inexpensive denim shirt.I first draw what I want to embroider. I research on-line if I am doing a particular project as a personal gift such as a chihuahua. I embroidered for a friend.
Then I prepare colors. I take the thread and cut it and knot it before I start the project. I tend to do several colors to start. Sometimes I divide thread and make my own color combinations. It is time consuming but looks great. Then I sit back and embroider. I really enjoy this craft. I have the first piece I ever did when I was 9 years old!
I hope you enjoy my contribution.

This is a project I've been looking forward to for years. It was inspired by the Turkish Smoking room at The Victoria Mansion in Portland Maine. And the fact that almost every room in our house was stensiled originally. I wanted to bring that back but with my own artistic flair. The room's not quite finished but I just can't help myself. I gotta show it off!!

I decided to take up painting when I was getting into tattooing with my husband. I have art on canvas on acrylic tiles and tables.
