Vintage Wingback Chair with Zebra Print, For sale at http://www.etsy.com/listing/88271235/vintage-wingback-chair-with-zebra-print

This vintage wingback chair was rescued from an apartment in Miami. After being neglected and abused for so long, it was a tough job turning her into a healthy beast! Reupholstered in an eggshell white and red, this chair is made for a pimp!

The first step we took to restoring this chair was stripping, sanding, and staining the legs. We then covered the legs with polyurethane for protection and finish.

We stripped the chair of its original fabric, preserving the original shape to use as a pattern for the new fabric. A new layer of batting was added for added padding and comfort. After pulling the fabric through the back and bottom of the chair, we stapled it to the frame; however, the side panels and the back panel had to be hand sewn.

Slip Covering wingback chairs., I had 2 wingback chairs, by Taylor King. Nice quality! They no longer went with the decor, so to update them I made slipcovers. I used printed linen, kind of an old fashioned crewel embroidery looking design. The colors had to coordinate with an oriental rug in the room. , Home Decor Project
