I primed and painted, distressed this violin in Cottage White, the mosaic is sealed, - it's looks have drastically improved. The edges are finished with a ivory colored gimp to finish up this fabulous shabby, cottage chic look.
This violin is meticulously mosaic-ed with the most beautiful, hand cut china plate rim mosaic tiles. Cascading lush blooms and roses on some of my favorite vintage bone china/porcelain dinner and breakfast plates were cut into a very beautiful mosaic tesserae to cover this violin; mosaic tiles from Royal Albert and more.
The hour glass "waist line" on this violin is embellished with stained glass tile. The violin is filled in with white, pink and pale pink stained Glass tiles.
All china plates used here are in very subtle shades. The strings on this beautiful art piece are a set of pink pearls. The tail piece is accented with handmade clay roses and light green leafs. A vintage rhinestone brooch, usually found on sweaters accents the tail. A pink and white cameo sits at the scroll
This is a gift that everyone likes to receive, music lover and others alike.
I finished this violin with a very light antique white colored grout to give it even more charm and a finished look.
This vintage violin was also rescued from a thrift store, unplayable, it's curtain calls long gone...but - finally!
For a festive center piece and those spots that need a little shining, a dazzling handmade mosaic has been applied to this violin.
A master piece transcended...what a gift for the right person.

These are two darling vintage soft silver or pewter colored frames. I cut new mats with vintage style decorative papers and then added the vintage 1936 bird prints. Perfect for a small alcove.

Broken China Mosaic table with drawer, Mosaic table, China Mosaic Handmade Shabby end table side table
Creamed Cottage White shows this Mosaic Table off. The top is adorned by a cascade of pink roses and blooms made from vintage cut and nipped china Mosaic Plates. It is laid so - as to give the impression that all the plates are whole and just ring around the Table.
Handmade Mosaic Art at it's finest.
Measurements: 28x21x22 inches.
This table embodies the European romantic trend that pairs well with chandeliers and lace curtain panels. This table is a highly embellished beauty station at which to primp and prepare for proper tea, or just be social.
The table was not salvagable in it's original state. I primed and painted it a creamy cottage white and Mosaiced the top of this table with cut and nipped vintage bone china plates and mixed it with the softest colors of stained glass tiles. The mosaic is grouted in an antique white and sealed.
I took numerous Photo's in different light, which still does not do this table justice. It is much prettier in person.

Grouted in an Antique White grout, finished edges with a gimp boarder and pink pearls, gives it this charming look of times gone by. Handmade clay roses tucked in the upper left corner to give this wall art hanging the special touch.
