Cowboy Santa, I carved this country-boy santy from basswood for a coworker's wife to add to her santa collection. I used acrylics to paint him sealed him with Krylon satin spray and finished with an antique wash. The inscriptions and decorations were woodburned. Santa mask , I carved this Santa mask out of basswood - he's about 8" tall. Oil paints were used for color and a final Krylon satin spray to seal with an antiquing wash. He can easily be a wall hanging or displayed on an easel. I pool 2-part clear epoxy on his eyes to give him a special sparkle., Holiday Project
Sea Shell Mirror With Leftover Wood., 2'x2' sea shell mirror made with leftover wood 1" x 4" pieces of wood I cut the wood to form a frame to hold a 12" x 12" beveled mirror square. After painting the frame a pearl white I covered it with various shells using a heavy clear adhevsive to mount on the wood, to finish the inside edges of the frame I glued clear glass discs around the interior. I completed this by attaching two heavy duty ring hangers on the back. It took some time but was well worth it! , Home Decor Project
