Hanky Mini Quilt. This little mini quilt about 15 1/2" square. I started with a 16" square of any fabric, I used a solid blue. Using corners of old hankies, cut them about 4", about 30 of them, layering them from the center out. Make sure all raw edges are covered. Then I placed yarn and thread over that, and the bits of doily, lace and ribbon roses. You can use anything you have. Buttons too, but I just didn't use them here. Use a nice backing fabric, any will do. Cover entire square with netting, pin in place and quilt down. Square up. I then used old lace to border the square, then bind the edges with binding. The quilting is done by machine every 2 inches to hold all in place. The lines here do not look straight, but they are. You can either frame this or just hang it on the wall.
