Celebrate the USA, Our Japanese neighbors enjoyed traveling around the USA during their 7 years living in Southern California. I scanned and printed on treated fabric photos from their travels and put the pictures together into a quilt to remind them of the great time they had while living in the United States when they returned to Japan., Friendship Project
Remembering Gertrude, I found a coloring book line drawing. By adding a few lines I found it was cubes. When I drafted it I found I would be doing partial seams on 1" finished diamonds. I would have stopped there but my first quilt teacher was Gertrude Clearfield. She became my friend in later years. The last quilt I saw in her bedroom was three cubes. She died the week before I drafted this so I had to make it to honor her., Friendship Project
Robins Quilt , This quilt was a project of love and Thanks for my dear neighbor that takes care of our cats while we are in transition moving to Shiner. The center fabric has cats on it and it says "I craft therefore I am PURR-FECT" she is a perfect friend and neighbor. She tends to like bright colors & is a quilter too. The back is an all over button fabric. The binding is black with colorful dots. It is quilted with a kitty theme with kittys in different positions. , Friendship Project
