This dinning set we bought years back in the 70's, with a few strokes of the paint brush and some new fabric I achieved a whole new look in shabby chic style.
I stenciled an accent wall in my open concept house to define the dining room space. I used flor carpet tiles for the rug since it was hard to find the right size rug. The chairs were craigslist find that I made over. The table is from ikea and the buffet is a pottery barn outlet find.
This rental unit dining room has nondescript brown carpet, heavily stucco'd walls and 1930's dark brown front door and trim. With little money, but a lot of imagination, I tried to make it look as good as I could. I also added a small computer area.

This is a total antique/junk store find! The table and all four chairs were found at a local store. The table was $25, 2 chairs were $12 each and the other 2 were $8 each. I have less than $150 total in the dining set.
