3 Results for "Vegetable garden"

My "Garden-esque" Headboard--for $54!, Bedrooms
Inexpensive garden antiques, I wanted to brighten up my backyard garden with some art and antiques. Designers often look for items you already have in your home to incorporate in their designs. So, I walked through my house, with my creative eye, and found a few items.
The old bench in the photo above, is one of my favorites. I bought it for $40 at the Resettlers warehouse, located off Broom St. near Fulton Paper. Originally, I'd put books on it in a bedroom. After walking through the house looking for items that might work in the garden, I decided it would look great with some plants and a few garden items.
This summer's rainy days gave me plenty of opportunities to go treasure hunting. I already had two watering cans, and I found a third large can for $12 at Brandywine River Antiques Market, in Chaddsford, PA.
Don't be intimidated by the large and expensive antiques at the front of this store. As you wind your way back through the place, the multi-room center has a wide variety of items for all budgets!
I'd been looking for a patio table, and Brandywine River Antiques Market had a neat antique child's picnic table, for $39, that I painted blue. I sanded the table first on a tarp in the side yard. With the table upside down, I painted the bottom 1st. Once dry, I flipped it over and painted the top. I only used one can of spray paint, making sure not to cover over all of the table's imperfections. It still has a nice weathered look.

Labor Day eve, a fire pit burning in the side yard, smores making, and my redecorated patio made for a cozy and fun time with family:)

Hope you had a terrific summer!
