I want to put in a backsplash but I'm not sure how to handle the end of the backsplash. My cabinets end about a foot before the countertop as it turns into a bar in the living room space. I'm not sure if I should just stop the backsplash where the cabinets end. Are there any creative ways I can do this besides just ending the backsplash as I think that might look funny.

Keeping the honey oak cabinets and the grey, purples, seafoam green countertop. What do i do for wall color, backsplash, and floor covering, and curtains. Had this kitchen for 15 years, need a change but have to keep counter top and cupboards.
Our "flowered" tile looks very old fashioned and is completely outdated. We need something new and more modern to spice up our main room.
I am having a hard time deciding on getting a four inch backsplash (built into the price of my countertops, or tiling the backsplash or having both. From what I have seen, I do not want to start out being outdated when I am trying to update my look.
looking for a backsplash to match my kitchen cabinets and blend in with my appliances.
