High traffic Heat vent, First mistake is the awful tile floor which was laid directly on top of the old hardwood floors. The grout is cracking and the tiles are breaking up and coming loose. There is a half inch lip in the middle of the room where the tile ends-can you say "TRIPPING HAZARD"? Also there is a heat vent right in the middle of the highest traffic area. We want to rip the floors up but we don't know what we will find and if we can handle it ourselves. , Flooring
