From South Beach to the Seashore, I have an late 80's kitchen all in white Formica cabinets with newer sand counter tops all in Formica. The theme was the beach with the colors of Southbeach. The floors are in, with white and tan travertine large tiles, so now to select the cabinets, counter tops, and back splash. My thought is a shaker door with flat panel draws in height of 36 and 42 topped with crown molding, in a medium light wood. I like a man-made stone material and would prefer a light color. Open for suggestions on counter top and back splash. I will use muted blue or green on the eat in kitchen. No yellow, red, orange, black or dark brown. I want to switch my my beachy Southbeach theme to the seashore. i want to change the range to a induction cooktop, with a micro and wall over on the other wall. We have had 5 kitchen contractor come by but most do not even follow up. What is wrong with these people! Can anyone give me advice? , Universal Design
going from good to gourmet, I have a really nice kitchen except I'm short and have to stand on my tip toes to really put some muscles into my chopping or kneading. I also teach informal classes to younger friends so need better student space, Universal Design
Most used, most impractical kitchen Ever!, I am a single Mom of 4 children and 3 grandkids. We are a large family who LOVES to cook. We put many many hours in our kitchen. Sadly our galley kitchen is small (8'x8') with two vital doors on opposite ends, this cuts the work space in half. The cabinets are piece parted together. Some are the original 71 year old ones, others are donated cabinets. The original sink base is minus valuable storage; due to a friend's shoddy attempt to install a broken dishwasher.The failed install turned disaster, left me with missing cabinet and drawers, unsafe electrical and a hole where the 3 day installed dishwasher used to be. Due to brain surgery I am on a fixed disability income; repairs and improvements are added only when possible. It is sad because it has been this way since 2007. We love to use the kitchen but hate the space. Please help "Spice up my kitchen!", Universal Design

Bland! Plain and simple., My kitchen is Dull. We were looking to do a full renovation ourselves but with a new baby expected in August it's been put hold. The size and overall layout are good but the personality is not there. I am a Children's book writer and a stay at home dad with a love for cooking; but this kitchen is not very inspiring. From boring cabinets, to linoleum flooring. With a family of five looming, the storage is lacking and an eating are is vital. Help me!! , Universal Design
